
Connie lives in Orono with her husband Mark. Mark is a property/casualty actuary who owns his own consulting practice in Minneapolis. They have two children, Matthew, 27 and Rebecca 22, a senior at the University of Minnesota.
Connie spent 20 years as an executive in the direct marketing industry and was an officer of a Fortune 500 Company. Connie lived in Chicago and New York City before moving to Plymouth in 1993 to become Vice-President of Fashion Merchandising for Fingerhut Companies, Inc. Twelve years ago she resigned from her full-time job in order to devote more time to her family and public service.
Connie served two terms as a member of the Wayzata School Board, and has been an advocate for small businesses and active member of local Chambers of Commerce for 14 years.
Connie was elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in 2008, where she has served on following committees: Education Reform Committee (Vice Chair); Taxes; Education Finance; Higher Education Finance and Policy; Telecommunications (Minority lead); Transportation.
